Variables can be used to store text or data. You can create a variable like this:
var mytext = "Hello again";
This makes a variable called "mytext" and sets it to "Hello again".
You can print variables on the screen with document.write:
var mytext = "Hello again"; document.write(mytext);
Note that if quote marks are placed around the variable name, the variable name itself will be printed (instead of the variable value).
